Upside-down house (Trassenheide/ Germany)

The Trassenheide Upside-Down House was created by Polish architects Klaudiusz Golos and Sebastian Mikiciuk as part of the project 'The World Upside Down' which allows visitors a different view of every day items. Since the whole interior is upside-down and can disorient some, the house is used purely as an exhibit.

Abode of Dawn (Petropavlovka/ Russia)

"Abode of Dawn" is the name of a small settlement in the middle of nowhere, that is, in the Siberian Taiga. It is home to the most devoted followers of the cult known as "Church of the Last Testament". Nestled inbetween forest and meadows this strange place features some pretty unique fairylandish architecture.

Surreal Lawn-House (Frohnleiten/ Austria)

This surrealist house looks like something out of an Escher painting. Lawned Walls, staircases leading to nowhere, windows adorned with other windows make this home unique.

Jasenovac monument (Jasenovac/ Croatia)

Jasenovac monument is devoted to the victims of Ustasha genocide during World War II in Jasenovac. Designed by Bogdan Bogdanović and unveiled in 1966, it serves as a reminder of the atrocities perpetrated in the Jasenovac concentration camp.

La Rosa Campsite Extraordinaire (Whitby/ U.K.)

At "La Rosa Campsite Extraordinaire" visitors can stay in gypsy wagons and circus tents. It's surrounded by the North Yorkshire Moors National Park so the camping is low energy (candles and fairy lights), low pollution (no nasty chemicals or generators) and respectful to wildlife (the quieter you are the more chance you have of seeing the deer).

Prison Hotel Oxford Castle (Oxfordshire/ U.K.)

Nine centuries old and originally the historic residence of Empress Matilda, the Oxford Castle was also used as a prison until it closed in 1996 and was redeveloped as a hotel.
