Yerevan Cascade (Yerevan/ Armenia)

The Yerevan Cascade is a giant stairway that resembles a mix of Art Deco and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon decorated with Armenian symbolism.
Built between 1971-80 it first was meant as a Soviet monument but today it houses the Cafesjian Museum of Art. The exterior of the Cascade has multiple levels with fountains and sculptures. From the top of the stairs you get wide views of central Yerevan and Mount Ararat.
