Glow in the Dark Bicycle path (Eindhoven/ Netherlands)

The world’s first solar-powered, glow in the dark bicycle path just opened in the Netherlands. The Van Gogh-Roosegaarde cycle path was designed by Daan Roosegaarde and constructed by Heijmans and is part of the Van Gogh cycle route in Brabant.
Thousands of blue & green glowing stones illuminate the path at nighttime with a gentle glow inspired by Van Gogh’s world-famous painting, Starry Night.
A nearby solar panel and LEDs along the side of certain curves in the path cast extra light, meaning the path will still be partially lit if the weather has been too cloudy for the panel to charge the surface to its full brightness.

Inntel Hotel (Zaandam/ Netherlands)

12 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central Station in the city of Zaandam is a hotel that looks just like someone stacked a pile of houses on top of each other. The overlapping green wooden facades of the Inntel Hotel are typical for traditional houses in the Zaan region.
Designed by WAM Architecten the 4 star hotel has 160 rooms on 11 storeys.

Bunker Pavilion Holiday Home (Vuren/ Netherlands)

On the rural site of Fort Vuren in the Netherlands, Belgian studio B-ILD has converted a wartime bunker into a tiny holiday home. Guests sleep beside raw concrete walls and home comforts are reduced to the bare essentials.
The bunker's internal area measures just 9m2 with less than 2m head height, so to utilize the space the best possible way furnishings were custom made and kept to a minimum.
"All furniture can fold or slide away or be pushed up and down. Therefore all objects have a double function," explained Bruno Despierre, one of the architects.

Kubuswoningen - Cubic houses (Rotterdam/ Netherlands)

"Kubuswoningen, or cube houses, are a set of innovative houses built in Rotterdam and Helmond in The Netherlands, designed by architect Piet Blom and based on the concept of 'living as an urban roof': high density housing with sufficient space on the ground level. Blom tilted the cube of a conventional house 45 degrees, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon. His design represents a village within a city, where each house represents a tree, and all the houses together, a forest."

Excalibur (Groningen/ Netherlands)

The Excalibur tower at Klimcentrum Bjoeks combines art and sport into one amazing piece of architecture making it the tallest free standing rock climbing wall in the world. It stands at a towering 121 feet and resembles a streamer spiraling up into the air.

Keukenhof Tulip Gardens (Lisse/ Netherlands)

More than seven million flowers form a glorious decor in Keukenhof, a historic park filled with blooming tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and other spring bulbs.

The Efteling (Kaatsheuvel/ Netherlands)

Efteling is the largest theme park in the Netherlands, and as it opened in 1952, it is one of the oldest theme parks in the world.
Originally the park catered towards children with a fairy tale theme. In over fifty years the park has evolved from a nature park with playground and a Fairy Tale Forest, into a full-size theme park along the lines of Disneyland. It is twice as large as the original Disneyland park and predates it by three years. Nowadays, Efteling caters to both children and adults with its cultural, romantic and nostalgic themes and its variety of amusement rides.

WoZoCo Apartments (Amsterdam/ Netherlands)
